Notdecidedbymoney keeps very little, because it sells nothing. This is the whole of it, written from what the code stores rather than from a template.
1.Nobody pays, so no payment data exists
There is no checkout on this site, no card is ever presented, and there is no merchant of record. If that changes, this page changes before it does.
2.Signing in gives us one thing: a verified address
Google tells us the email address it has verified, along with the display name and avatar you have chosen there. The address is the whole mechanism behind one vote per person: it is stored, it is never shown to anybody, and it is what a vote, a comment and a like are attached to. The name and avatar are shown, because they are how a maker is credited.
3.What you do here is kept, because the board is a record
Votes, comments, comment likes and the launches you submit are stored against that address. A day closes at midnight UTC and its order is frozen, which means the record has to survive the day. Deleting a comment hides its text and keeps the row, so the replies under it still have a parent.
4.Clicks are counted, individually and not at all
When somebody follows a link out to a product, the browser reports it and we add one to that launch's count for the day. We store the count, not the click: no address, no visitor, nothing that says who it was. Firefox does not send these by default, so the numbers are a floor.
5.The weekly mail, and getting out of it
If you ask for the digest we keep your address to send it and nothing else. Every one of those mails carries a one-click unsubscribe, and the sending code refuses to send a batch at all if it cannot sign those links, so there is no version of this where you are mailed without a way out.
6.Analytics, and what a cookie here is for
We use DataFast for traffic. It sets one cookie to count a visit once rather than twice. Requests from AI crawlers and search bots are reported to the same service from our side, because a large share of what reads this board is not a person and we would rather know.
7.What you upload
Logos and screenshots you add are stored on our own object storage and served from this domain. Images fetched automatically from a product's own site are cached for a day so the same page is not fetched repeatedly.
8.Asking for it back, or asking us to stop
Write to us and say what you want: a copy of what is held against your address, a launch taken down, a comment removed, or the account and everything on it deleted. There is no form and no process to navigate. The address is here.
