Wednesday 9 September · finished #4 that day

A wall of software, services and protocols that are still running after everyone agreed they were finished. Around 110 of them so far, each with the year it started and a short note on why it is still here.
Every entry carries an editorial stamp rather than a score: standing, wavering, hollow or closed, which is the difference between still up, wobbling, a zombie, and actually gone. A thing can be technically online and still be dead, and the stamps say which.
Entries link out to the real site, and anyone can suggest one that is missing.
From the maker
Half the tools I rely on were declared dead years ago by people who had moved on to something newer. I wanted the list written down, with dates, so that "nobody uses that any more" has to argue with something.
